Visit the National Student Loan Data System and select Financial Aid Review. There you can see a list of all of your federal student loans, their statuses, the amount of debt owed and the information for servicers collecting payments.

Owe private student loans ?

To determine who you owe, how much is owed and the status of private student loan accounts, visit Annual Credit Report.com. Here you may view your three credit reports for free. These reports will include other debts in addition to student loans such as credit cards, auto loans and mortgages.

Estimating payments.

If you are curious about repayment options visit the U.S. Department of Education Calculators and Interest Rates. Here you can view and use various repayment calculators to estimate student loan payments. You can also find the interest rates for your loans by the type of loan and disbursement date.

Keep student loans organized.

When dealing with student loans it is important to keep track of each loan. Keep records of the servicers and any applications for forbearance, deferment or income based repayments. Also be sure to note the name of any servicers you speak to about your accounts.
